===HISTORY OF LYCRABON===

====Lycrabon Beginnings====

With a decisive victory in 1865 over Southern secessionists in the Civil War, the United States became a united and powerful nation with a strong national government. Reconstruction brought the end of legalized slavery plus citizenship for the former slaves, but their new-found political power was rolled back within a decade, and they became second-class citizens under a "Jim Crow" system of deeply pervasive segregation that would stand for the next 80–90 years. Puerto Rico (and some smaller islands) became permanent U.S. possessions, as did Alaska (added by purchase in 1867); the independent Republic of Hawaii was illegally taken as a territory in 1898.
+
==Geography==

Northern politicians alienated many citizens, and a small group of them - David Grant and Davis among them - organized a revolt against the US government. In July of 1870, the twenty leaders started (with their respective divisions) the revolution with an attack on Wall Street in New York. By the fall of 1870, American and Canadian/British forces were deeply on the ropes. Over four days that December, a US delegation, the new country's delegation, and a Canadian/British delegation hammered out an agreement to give the rebels the country they desired.
+
The nation stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Rocky Mountains in the west, and the Arctic Circle in the north to (depending on where in the nation) the Saint Lawrence River, Great Lakes, or the heartland of North America.

====First Provinces====

* Total Area: 10,025,472 km<sup>2</sup>

Once the peace treaty was signed, the first three Provinces and the new capital were designated. Lakeview (formerly Erie) was chosen as the capital, with the agreement that it was the temporary choice. Most cities in the new territory were already discussing new names for their settlements, and in most cases the municipalities ran across county/district lines. The first three Provinces were Caperton (where Lakeview is located), North Magootz, and Northland.

Once the infrastructure was up and running, portions of the country were lining up to be officially part of the country. By the end of 1872, 15 provinces were part of the government with many more in line. In September, David Grant was unanimously chosen to be the nation's first President, with elections for November to choose Congressional representation.

In 1875, the National Census Bureau was created to apportion representatives in future years, to determine population every ten years, starting with 1880.
+
==Politics and Government==
 +
The government is modeled after the United States, with a bicameral law-making branch, an executive branch and a judicial branch.

====Growth of the Nation====
+
*[[Presidential elections in Lycrabon]]
The twenty leaders of the revolution determined the direction the new nation would grow, and within five years, the country would expand to 25 provinces.

=== DOMESTIC PROFESSIONAL SPORTS LEAGUES: ===

* Team, Arena (Capacity), First Year

Sports scandals abounded in the early 1980s, as each of the four major sports were rocked by gambling scandals. At an unprecedented summit between the heads of the four major leagues plus the national soccer league, championship records were, so to speak, "reset" in all but soccer. The soccer league was exempted because it was new enough to not have been touched by scandal yet. Title lists in the other four start in the list from 1985.

Media abounds throughout Lycrabon, with newspapers throughout the country, and radio and television stations gathered into cable systems from coast to mountains.

In 2017, a meeting of a handful of team owners convened in regards to starting a women's basketball league. Eventually, eight cities were chosen for the inaugural season in the summer of 2018. Two more will join in 2019, and an additional two start in 2020, bringing the eventual total to twelve.

===HISTORY OF LYCRABON===
 +
====Lycrabon Beginnings====
 +
 +
Canadian and American politicians alienated many citizens throughout most of the 20th century, and a small group of them - David Grant and Davis among them - organized a revolt against the US government. In July of 1984, the twenty leaders started (with their respective divisions) the revolution with a simultaneous attack on Parliament in Ottawa and in federal buildings throughout Canada and the upper US midwest. By the fall of 1984, American and Canadian forces were deeply on the ropes. Over four days that December, a US delegation, the new country's delegation, and a Canadian delegation hammered out an agreement to give the rebels the country they desired.
 +
 +
In January of 1985, leaders of the successful revolution met to draft a constitution and form the provinces that would form the new nation. The lands west of Ontario weren't quite ready for formation, but the divisions were drawn up for their eventual creation. The first provinces created were North Royalton, Newcastle, and East Ontario. In 1986, the Windsor, Algoma and West Ontario provinces were created.

HISTORY OF LYCRABON

Lycrabon Beginnings

PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE HISTORY

LYCRABON COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (LCAA)

Conference affiliations have remained fairly constant from the creation of the LCAA. There are a handful of school in football, baseball and softball that play in conferences that are different from their primary. Hockey only has one conference with a majority of teams that are full members (Big Ten); all of the others are from multiple conferences normally. Varsity sports contested are Football, Soccer, and Field Hockey in the fall; Basketball and Ice Hockey in the Winter; and Lacrosse, Softball, and Baseball in the spring.

The Association was founded in 1892 with 140 members, but was disbanded and reformed with a new history in 1985 with 321 members.
