New Langsia (officially the Proletarian Republic of New Langsia) is a large island nation in The International Communist Union, residing primarily in the Laikon Sea. The country is renowned for its technological advancements and large population, topping 1.2 billion as of the 2013 census. The country is classified as a Proletarian Republic, meaning that New Langsia's economy and politics are under control of the workers and the Communist Party. Although recent political reforms have weakened the party-state apparatus, the CP-NL still has great decision making and planning roles in the country.
The country is a powerhouse education spender, devoted around 20% of its GDP to improving schools, and allowing every New Langsian an opportunity to further their education and become what they want to be in life. Higher education is offered free of charge, and high schools are often boarding schools, in order to provide the best living environment
