The Davis Royal Family has been in power in the Just Monocratic Commonwealth of Consigahria since its federation. Technically, they've been powerful for far longer than that. Cornelius Davis I is the man responsible for the very idea of Consigahria. According to ancient texts, it was Davis who first laid eyes on the coast of Vermillion Territory.

Sighting Land

Cornelius Davis I and his crew of 27 men aboard his ship Partition sighted the western beaches of Consigahria's mainland on October 12th, 1790, after sailing for three months straight through the western Pacific Ocean. After almost a month of planning, he returned to the island on November 6th with thousands more people, intending to settle there, but was met with violent opposition. The powerful Queendom of Geneva and the Francod Republic, who both required the land for profit so as not to collapse as capitalist countries, had arrived first and were already engaged in violent, explosive maritime warfare.

Davis decided to join the fight. Throughout the 7th and 8th, Davis scouted out the rival camps and brought back crucial data. He calculated: he brought 3,485 men whom he will use to fight (and 2.3 thousand more women and children who aren't allowed to fight); Geneva brought 2,400 men; and Franco brought 2,600. Easy win. Davis encouraged his men that they were outnumbered, so long as they took out one enemy at a time. Davis and 2,000 of his men charged against Geneva and slaughtered them, only losing 130 of their own men. With 1,870 remaining, he replenished his numbers to 3,355 and attacked Franco. Franco's more advanced weaponry and artillery took out hundreds of his men at a time, but luckily took a while to reload; and therefore, Davis had the advantage of moving quickly and staying out of sight, enabling him to coordinate precise attacks which finally brought the Francod Republic, which was already in the process of federalization, to its knees. Consigahria takes over.

Federation

Davis I took a Francod wife, Hermione, and remained married to her faithfully for 10 years before they give birth to a beautiful baby boy. Davis names him after himself, Cornelius Davis II, and scheduled for the baby to be circumcised. Shortly after, he was pulled aside by his advisor, who asked if democracy should be compulsory. This was the second time this question had been posed, and the Dictator for Life was tired; he had his advisor shot and killed, then hired another one.

Davis remained married to Hermione for another ten years before an earthquake struck and damaged his city. Davis imposed heavy taxes to supplement and repair the damage. Young and insightful Cornelius Davis II noticed his father's aggression toward his people and toward the planet, and wondered how a Jew could be like that and sleep soundly at night. Another six years passes by, and Davis I for the first time hits his son across the face. This is when it is decided that Davis I would die. Months passed into winter near Davis II's birthday, and the boy brooded in silence, knowing his parents would forget...again.

The Holy Dictatorship of Consigahria was only 16.7 years old when it saw its first assassination of a national leader. On January 12th, 1808, Cornelius Davis II orders his father's personal bodyguards to kill him in his sleep, or they would die instead. Afraid, they comply, and are unprecedentedly sentenced to death for treason. Horrified, 17-year-old Davis II cannot be the ruler of the nation until he turns 18. Meanwhile, Bartholomew Grant Huhn, Davis I's Head Minister of Defense, would take the reins. Huhn would rule for little under a year.

Shortly after his 17th birthday, inherently dangerous Cornelius Davis II asserted his dominance over Huhn and commanded him to step down. His Royal blood thick in his veins indeed made him, in the eyes of the nation, superior; and so Huhn backed off. A year early, Davis II proclaimed himself in the death and absence of his father the First President of the official Monocratic Democracy.
