The Countries of the Empire The Empire is a democratic one, where the Emperor is the Head of State and is mainly a figurehead of National unity. A Jarl is the Head of Government and runs the legislative branch. The Jarl is elected by the people every four years.
The Empire is made up of three entities. The main nation is of Vangaziland. Here is where you find a majority of the population of the Empire. To the South of the islands of Vangaziland is a large island known as South Vangazi. It has one of the most active militaries in the region and is known for its cooperation with the Armies of Wintreath. A more unique nation to the west is the home to the Nomadic Peoples of Vannishlands. There is an island chain here, which the nomads use for their ships. They are the main traders of the Empire and their modern merchant vessels travel far and wide to different regions in search of a good trade.
Random Facts
-School uniforms for the males are typically business casual, slacks with any conservatively colored shirt. The girls wear a skirt and blouse similar to western catholic schools, but without the random plaid. When a student reaches 16 years of age, they may wear basic military fatigues if they choose to enlist in the professional army after graduation or are accepted into an officer's training program.
-The capitol city of Emeros was ranked as a 'Semi Global City'. It was deemed too empty and too cold to be ranked on the tier of 'Global'. It is a huge joke for the average Vannish citizen who believes the people from the ranking nation are too weak and soft to handle Vannish weather.
-The national sport is Futsal. Lacrosse and Alpine Sports also have strong followings.
