'The Duo' is a alias for a pair of mercenaries and bounty hunters on Urth. They are commonly employed by the South Hills Council of Governments and other governments, along with private companies in "black ops". Though the existance of such a duo is denied by the Council of Governments, they are regularly employed for operations that can not be tied directly to the government. Expendable but reliable.
The duo has achieved a almost legendary status among the military and intelligence sectors, and are known as the bigfoot of the industry; No one really sees them, only the carnage they leave behind.
They are believed to operate out of Tano, though the exact location is unknown. The duo enjoys many under the table gifts from South Hills as payments for their service, such as citizenship to Maxwell, as, following the collaspe of Maxism in Vekaiyu, he was officially stateless.
No officialized pictures of the duo exists, as such, artist renditions are used.

Maxwell Lockerbie
Note: Maxwell Lockerbie is the name given to him with South Hills Citizenship, his previous Vekaiyun name is unknown.
Maxwell, who simply goes by Max, is a vulpine victim of the 2010 Vekaiyun Civil War, believed to have lost most of his immediate family in the fighting(A popular theory is that Lockerbie was out training during the Iruk chemical bombings, killing a majority, if not all, of his immediate family). At the age of 17, he was drafted into the military of Maxist forces of Meyshevyu, and trained as a pilot, though due to lack of proper documentation in the breakaway state, his Vekaiyun birth name is unknown.
In a attempt to escape military service for the Maxist forces, which it is believed he disagreed with politically, Maxwell went on the run, was eventually captured and, was almost executed by Firing Squad in the middle of the street for desertion, when Marcus, on a operation gone bad, burst through in a firefight with Maxist forces.
The pair found themselves helping eachover escape, with Maxwell knowing the layout of the city to escape. Realizing that Maxwell had no real hope in the wartorn country, Marcus offered him a 'way out', and he accepted. It is believed over the next two weeks, they made their way to the lines of Ikrisia Levinile's forces, and eventually, out of the country.
Somewhere in the process of the duo's escape, Maxwell sustained a large calibre gunshot wound (believed to be 7.62mm) to his upper right ear, leaving a permanent scar, though only a few inches away from impacting his head and surely ending his life, a full recovery was believed to be made despite the visible hole.
Through late 2010 and early 2011, Lockerbie was officially Stateless due to the collapse of Meyshevyu, and, due to the pairs then increasing status, returning to Vekaiyu to claim his citizenship was out of the question. A deal with South Hills intelligence officials granted him a South Hills citizenship in mid 2011, under the new assumed name Maxwell Lockerbie.
As a result of the above, Lockerbie's previous alias, albeit it unknown, is believed to be marked as dead in Vekaiyun records.
Though, as a follower of Kingsley's policy of 'money before politics', it is unknown of his position on the current Vekaiyun regime, it was believed he was against the Maxist regime previously in place. Through military training, he is believed to be the pilot, though not a very good one by most accounts, He also is believed to have self-developed computer hacking skills. Though he can handle a gun, he is not nearly the shot Kingsley is. Lockerbie is believed to be 21 or 20.
