Imperial Petroleum (abbreviated IMPETRO) is beyond a doubt the world's largest extractor of natural gas and petroleum and one of the world's largest companies. Its name is a contraction of its long name, Imperial Petroleum. Its current headquarters are in Dubai, capital of the Province of the United Arab Emirates in the Gulf Empire.

Impetro was created in 2010 as a joint union of the top oil companies in the Gulf Empire under an attempt to consolidate power and services for more efficiency due to the Empire's increasing large need for oil. The company has been partially privatized in which large amounts of shares have been invested by the public at large as well as by many top political officials but a majority of the company's shares come from the Gulf Imperial Government which directly controls the company through the Department of Energy. Impetro produces all the oil and natural gas required both for the whole empire and military as well as for allies and a large portion is set aside in reserve. Its largest oil fields are located in Siberia, the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq-Iran, North America, Gulf of Mexico, China, and South America.

History

Impetro was officially created on March 15, 2010 after Chancellor DesJarlais issued an imperial order decreeing the creation and consolidation of a new oil company. Before then, the Gulf Empire had granted operation status to a select few oil companies like Shell Oil, Chevron, GazProm, and such. The largest issue was the fact that many oil companies were involved in heavy competition which drove up the prices of gas and caused expensive disputes over oil fields so in 2010, the Chancellor decided that it would be best for all the oil companies in the Gulf Empire to be federated under one corporation that would be overseen, run, and controlled by the imperial government, thus resulting in the creation of Impetro. Since its inception, its sole mission has been to control the oil trade which included monopolies over oil fields in the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. Impetro has also expanded its borders internationally and has been drilling abroad in other countries. Impetro has also entered into agreements with Wadiya to start drilling on their own oil fields.
