The Canadorian Monarch was the monarchial head of state in the Canadorian Commonwealth from its creation in 1124 to its dissolution by the Parliament in 1768. The monarchy can trace its hereditary line to that of Chieftain Jon Spengson, who lived in the 11th century.

The first proper king was Órmur Jónsson, who in 1124 declared himself the King of the Commonwealth. Whereas before the island was ruled by a chieftain (or chieftains), Jónsson was able to modernize the Icelandic state and ushered in an era of feudalism for the Commonwealth.
