Ragnar I Ulfbert (1346 - 1444) was the first High King of Hawkwick, from 10 December 1394 until his death in 1444.

He was the bastard son of Lorin Heinrich Hørenhelm, King of Altberg (later King Heinrich II). From the time of his birth, he was not included in the line of succession due to his bastard status and his father's reluctance to legitimize him over his half-sister, Jorva. From 1362 to 1392, Ragnar was a courtier and respected warrior in Eldengarde, and traveled the world in search of support against the Altbegs, until his half-sister's men finally captured him in a decisive skirmish and brought him back to his home nation.

As a result of the unification of Hawkwick (1394–1395) after his managing to kill both his sister and the Harbinger to the Eld in a premeditated duel, he became the first monarch of the House of Ulfbert, which he renamed from the House of Hørenhelm both due to his bastard status as well as his desire to forge his own legacy. His reign is largely considered to be one of the most successful in Hawkwickan history, and his family name still lives on to the present day in the form of Magnus and Ava Ulfbert.
