The Redentran dollar (Redentroða Dolar, sign: $; code: RDD; also abbreviated RD$), is also referred to as the Redentran Exchange Note. It is the official currency of Redentro and its territorial exclave. It is divided into 16 smaller units called divs (divhþ, d) which are further divided into 16 parts (parythþ, ρ).
The Redentran dollar is backed by gold. It is the currency most used for international transactions within the Lands of Mjuzskorrun. While only used officially in Redentro, it is also widely accepted in Mhuvalja-Ainguximoqrun at par.
Overview
The legislative congress is given the power in PRL2x§7b-1 to authorize the production of any currency backed by the national treasury. The ability to authorize fiat money is given to the same by PRL8x§2.
PRL9 establishes that the Redentran Dollar is backed by gold at the value of 1/917 ounce of 24 karat gold which may be redeemed at the treasury. The same resolution declares that the Redentran Dollar is valid for "all debts of any kind, public and private, foreign and domestic."
History
The Redentran Dollar was first produced in 2008. Prior to this, each of the former nations' currencies (Redentran Rhuli (RER), Penzer Dollar (PZD), Wirþal Rhuli (WQR), Þhrmapayljan Mark (QHM)) were widely used within their respective districts, but were often not accepted in others. This caused severe infrastructural issues that would most easily be resolved by the creation of a common currency.
To that end, in 2008, the legislative congress passed PRL9, which established the new currency for use throughout the country.
Coins
The reverse of each coin bears the national seal and the text "Plazor keRedentro" across the top and its value across the bottom. The obverse shows the text "Unity kol jusari" and the value as a fraction of a dollar.

Bills
The front of each bill features a vectorized version of an oil-and-pen painting from Vunaylzy Motravenit's collection A Monument to Redentro. Monument is the most famous collection of works in existence depicting scenes from Redentro. For security, the bills are printed on this side using a vector printer, and so cannot accurately be reproduced by a standard laser, inkjet, or dot matrix printer. The reverse of each bill states the value and shows a picture of King Uymaynjo Þhrmapoljayn in a Guilloché pattern. Each bill has a specific color theme and is a different shape for easy identification. The upcoming 2016 series, which will be printed starting January 2nd, 2016, features King Amadh Juvgenzat, who will be taking Þhrmapoljayn's place as King of the Commonwealth on that date.
