The Särterhüs (Translated to English as Assembly), officially known as Nätionajle Särterhüs ëf Darkmänsji (National Assembly of Darkmania, commonly abbreviated as "The NAD" in English) is the unicameral legislature of Darkmania, established in 1870 by the Constitution of Darkmania. It is located in Örkemdrem, the federal capital of Darkmania. The assembly has officially 600 members, with one seat being removed later to serve as the Speaker, and is elected every four years based on Mixed-Member Proorstional in all 42 provinces plus the capital district. A member of the Särtherhüs is known in darkmanian as a Särtherhüs-Mebër (SM), literally "Assembly Member". However, it's common to just refer to them as "MP" in English.
Following the 2016 elections, 14 different political parties are represented in the Särterhüs with the two largest being the Conservatives with 187 seats and Labour Movement with 205 seats. The main reason for the high number of political parties being represented is due to the low requirement to win a seat. All a party has to do is either win a seat in a votingdisctirt or pass the threshold of 3.5% of the national votes.
