The Niktobrian Empire was at its height the largest civilization in Intris. It ruled over the majority of Esteron for over five centuries, incorporating every culture and language into itself.
It shared borders with the Zyantine Empire to the south-east and the Free Republic of Arkan to the west. It was bound by the Bold Sea to the west and the Sea of Ghosts to the north.
The Empire was established following an official Senatus decree in 1433 outlining the new powers of the head of state. Having recently taken control of the Kingdom, Dacius I was crowned the first Emperor. Under his reign the Empire spread south annexing the lands of Maxtopia, Arkan and Zyantium. A consistent string of powerful rulers saw the Empire become a global superpower that lasted for the next five centuries. Following years of stagnation and decline after the War of Regimes, the Niktobrian Civil War erupted in 1931 giving way to the establishment of the Niktobrian People's Insurgency. Its collapse in 1944 granted the independance of many nations most notably the People's Republic of Niktobr.
