The Red Laiatan conflict was fighting that occurred between communist groups (Laiatanese Patriotic Front and New Laiatan Front) and the Laiatanese federal government from June 1956 to February 1959. The war was launched during a period of economic stagnation, and targeted the democratically elected government and capitalist economic system.
