Yishevyu is a de facto colony of Vekaiyu residing in The South Pacific. The colony was founded by Vekaiyu in 1781, when explorers from Vekaiyu re-visited the lands after first discovering the lands in 1778 and staked a claim to the territory. The nation was slowly settled by Vekaiyun peoples and in time became overrun by vulpines.
Agriculture, mining, and tourism are the major industries of Yishevyu. The colony remains of significant importance to Vekaiyu due to its plentiful oil reserves and thorium, which is located in the higher elevations in the northeastern portion of the nation. Platinum and other precious metals have been discovered off and on, which provided population booms to the area over time.
Due to its colonial status, the nation is inundated with Vekaiyun influences, and consequently is a member nation of The Vekaiyun Union.
